Annual Report 2024–25

This year, RE-Alliance:

  • Hosted the inaugural Regional Leaders Summit, an Australian-first summit about renewables for regional people, which arose from the growth of our Regional Leaders Network
  • Launched our Renewables Done Right series, featuring real stories of people living and working alongside renewable energy and transmission projects, which were widely shared across social media and regional television
  • Dived into retirement age renewables, collaboratively producing both a Framework for Action for government and industry, as well as an information toolkit for landholders and communities
  • Received more and more backing for our collaborative call for Local Energy Hubs, with a range of regional candidates pledging to advocate for them if elected
  • Highlighted in pre-federal election media how unpopular nuclear power was in renewable energy regions through independent polling results – an important and timely intervention
  • Worked with a local landholder to write a powerful opinion piece for the Courier-Mail on the human cost of the Queensland Government's decision to cancel a previously approved wind project
  • And more!
