Andrew Bray on the success of Identiflight at Cattle Hill Wind Farm

Our National Director Andrew Bray chats about the importance of the Identiflight technology at Cattle Hill Wind Farm in Tasmania. It has a series of cameras that track birds, and when they come close to the wind turbines, the turbines shut down immediately so that there are no strikes.

There are a couple of high-flying species, the Tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagle as well as the White Bellied Sea Eagle, and they're both threatened species, so it's really important that the wind farms aren't doing damage to their populations.
