'Regions 'can benefit' from renewables but farmers 'shouldn't feel pressured''

Our National Director Andrew Bray and fifth-generation Wimmera farmer Craig Henderson discuss the potential regional benefits that the shift to renewables can offer – but also say that farmers shouldn't feel pressured into hosting renewables. 

They highlight RE-Alliance's toolkit for landholders and communities on renewable energy at end of life as a helpful resource.

Having renewables is an opportunity to help rural areas financially, despite pushback from community members. I just feel that our community needs other sources of income other than rainfall-based income to keep stability.
