Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone Community Plan: Online workshop 1

Please note: we first advertised these workshops as in-person events, but due to COVID they have had to be moved online.

You're invited to the first in a series of workshops being held around the Central-West region to ensure a strong local community voice is heard in the establishment of the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ).

If you are unable to attend this workshop, we are holding three more in the coming weeks. Check out the other dates and times here

The CWO REZ Community Network (the Network) was recently launched to help provide a strong and cohesive local vision. The purpose of the Network is to work together on the future aspirations and ambitions for the region, making the most of opportunities that come with the announcement of the Central-West Orana REZ.

The first project of the REZ Community Network will be to put together a collaborative Community Plan, which identifies what’s important for our region and what opportunities would create the most meaningful and long-lasting social and environmental benefits. This workshop is an opportunity for you to contribute your ideas and aspirations to this plan.

The workshop is open to anyone in the Renewable Energy Zone (map here) with an interest in the future of their local community. We are aiming to have a wide cross-section of the community attend our workshops.
