Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone Community Plan - Workshop (in-person)

You're invited to a workshop that will ensure a strong local community voice is heard in the establishment of the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ).

This event is one in a series of repeated identical workshops that will support the development of a Community Plan.

The CWO REZ Community Network was recently launched to help provide a strong and cohesive local vision.

The purpose of the Network is to collaboratively work to achieve aspirations and ambitions for the region, making the most of opportunities that come with the announcement of the Central-West Orana REZ.

The first project of the REZ Community Network will be to put together a Community Plan with locals across the region, to identify what’s most important to people in our region and what opportunities would create the most meaningful and long-lasting social and environmental benefits.

Your ideas and input will help us create a plan that honestly represents our community's needs and desires for the future.

The workshop is open to anyone in the Renewable Energy Zone with an interest in the future of their local community. We are aiming to have a wide cross-section of the community attend our workshops.
