'Farm benefits from wind turbines'

Tom Gunthorpe, Kangiara cattle and sheep grazier, wrote this letter in response to an editorial in The Land by Samantha Townsend on 19 June.

He speaks to his experience running 600 head of cattle, 1200 sheep and nine wind turbines.

We've received enormous benefits from hosting wind turbines – income that is not impacted by the weather and that means we might be able to keep the farm in the family forever. We'd like to see other people have the opportunity to take up the same benefits.
