Campaign Launch: Winning big for regions in the shift to renewables this Fed Budget

Watch the recording of this Brown Bag Lunch here.

The shift to renewable energy carries enormous potential for our regions.

However, an uncoordinated transition that does not involve regional leaders, hampered by a small number of loud, climate delay actors threatens to make for a slow and painful process.

Our four organisations, with over a decade working with energy transition regions each, are making a big ask of the Federal Government to support our regions and prevent the spread of disinformation.

We want to see the Federal Government fund an independent network of 50 Local Energy Hubs to help our regions cut through the noise and get to work making plans to benefit from and thrive with the rollout of renewable energy.

Local Energy Hubs will be staffed by trusted, local outreach officers to help communities with all aspects of renewables, from tips to lower power bills, helping small businesses electrify, administering grants for community energy projects, and helping engage communities around large scale projects in their area.

If that sounds good to you and you'd like to know how we're going to win this, RSVP to our strategy briefing.

We're looking forward to seeing you there!

This event is part of the CANA Brown Bag Lunch program. Note the time for this event is 12pm AEDT.
